Hello wpedro !!!

You have to swith TX_RX to TX mode first...
After that, you write the 5 bytes (TUSER, ...DATA1, DATA2), and you put the flag send to PLCBUS to "1"
Be careful !! After reading datasheet of 201071 module, I discovered that I2C commands (write or read) should be done in special time windows (1.8ms after zero crossing and for about 2 to 3.6ms long, it depends if chip module transmit or not).

I'm in test for the moment, and no PLCBUS data received from module to my 1141 modem for the moment !!!

and you ? have you built a prototype ?

Hello,

Here is my board test...module 201071 is soldered on an adapter 1.27 to 2.54mm.
I made a small board for optoisolation of I2C.
I'm writing the program now...
Hope it works quickly !!!

:P :P :P

Hello acebillyfr,

are there any news about your investigations?

I have investigated the manual of chip module and also investigated the interface 1141.
Between 1141 PCB and circuit diagram in manual I found some differences!
I think there are some bugs in manual!
Inside 1141 there is a PIC16F628A.
This PIC is between MAX232 and chip module.
There are 3 connections from PIC to chip module: SCL, SDA, ZERO-OUT
The chip module in 1141 has also a connection from pin 21 to C2/R2!
I also found a connection on 1141 PCB between chip-module pin 3 and pin 4 ?!

Have you also investigated interface 1141 or other modules?

Hello chewbacca,

you have done a good investigation, but you mast have an older version of 1141.
The new 1141+ do not have the connection pin 21 to C2/R2.

If you have a Mini-Controller 4034, you can investigate this PCB. There isn’t such a connection.
Both 1141+ and 4034 PCB are as the circuit diagram in manual.

Mini-Controller 4034 has a PIC 16F57 inside – see enclosed image.

If you investigated 4034 PCB, there are 3 connections between chip-module and micro controller.
PIC RB4 -> ZERO-OUT (wire jumper from pin 3 to 4)
PIC RB5 -> SCL
PIC RB6 -> SDA

I will say Mini-Controller is also a good evaluation board for chip module tests.
All need parts on board.
The PIC is placed in a socket.

Hello everybody !!!

I was overbooked with my job, so I stopped my tests with 201071 module.
I agree datasheets os SSSE are not very precise; I had many contacts with Coco Lee from SSSE to ask precisions/ and datasheet was modified.

In my tests, I passed the test to communicate between PLCBUS 201071 module and ATMEGA in I2C a couple of times, and suddenly nothing...
Why ?? no answer, perhaps module got dead, perhaps something else.

The problem is that you can communicate with module in I2C in a window after zero crossing +1.5ms, for about few ms...
Not very evident.
I don't know if the test suggested by plcguru would work better ??

And you ? what is your project? with whitch microcontroller ? for me, it's atmega 168 and bascom compiler.
I'm ready now to start again !!

Hi, I'm reviving this thread cause it's the most efficient place to ask my questions.

I'm looking to get chip module datasheet and acquire some chip modules to start playing with.
Where is a place to buy them, shipping worldwide?

I tried contacting ATS for some technical info, but they didn't reply to my communication.

Thanks in advance
Buster :)

Hello Plcbuster,
At last, an hobbyist !!! I feel quite alone with testing this 201071 module...
Yes, you can purchase this module for 19.95 euros each

For datasheet, i've got it !! last version, because there were some mistakes and they modified it after my questions.
I can send it to you if you want...give me an email in MP.

I hope we could test it together ??
:P :P :P

Hi acebillyfr,

Thanks for the info.
I'll contact you in PM.

EDIT: I can't seem to find a PM option for this board???

Hello,

I'm french and I want to use PLCBUS in my home to doing some domotics projects.
I have seen that some of you have made their own 1141 PCB.
Could you give me the schematics of this PCB ?

Thank you
Julien

hello acebillyfr

i'm new to PLCBUS :?
i want to Start sending Data with 201071 using AVR - I2C !
can you help me with the last version of 201071 Datasheet? ;)

thanks
Kiantg

i think this pin configuration can help Starters like me ;)
