Hi,

it sounds like you can mix X-10 with PLC using the 4808 Gateway.

However, I wonder if it is possible to setup like this with no PLC sender

1x X-10 sender (with house code set to P)
1x 4808 Gateway
1x 2264 two load lamp module

It seems the setup needs a PLC sender also - is this right?

greetings kai, wondering if better documentation would help to make PLC more spread....

Yes – each PLC-BUS module you must teach user code, home code and unit code.
4808 Gateway only needs the user code for PLC-BUS operation.

To setup PLC-BUS module you must have a PLC-BUS controller.
Like Mini-Controller 4034 or RS232 Interface 1141.

After setup 4808 you have a gateway X10 <-> PLC-BUS.
That means PLC-BUS controller can control X10 modules and X10 controller can control PLC-BUS modules.

OK, I hear that my requirement to have my existing X-10 to be extended to use PLC modules will not work without getting another device just for setup.

greetings kai, will send all back to the distributor I assume.
